Lyra harp guitar "in the white" before the finish is applied.

The inlay was designed, like the rest of the instrument in close collaboration with the customer. He wanted a small vine inlay with some birds. I used the scroll and spiral motif to mimic the other scroll shapes on the guitar. The headstock features a lyre with a dove and a banner which is yet to be engraved in this photo.

The luthier poses with his creation and pretends to play it. No strings yet but looks cool anyway. This harp guitar is heavy with 24 tuning machines and lots of wood but it balances well and is fairly compact.
