For sale is a new handmade acoustic guitar made by myself, Jim Worland. I built this guitar as a demo model so it has been played very little and is in brand new condition.
This guitar is built with all of the finest materials and craftmanship that I put into my high end custom guitars. The woods used are top grade solid woods. I used the same care in tuning the bracing that I use in all of my guitars. I used a simple matte lacquer finish on the back and sides and the neck. The top and the peghead have a gloss lacquer finish.
The sound is well balanced with a solid bass and bright trebles. It's fairly loud with good sustain. Overall it has a strong and clear tone and it should improve further over time. Action is nice and low. This guitar works well for both flatpicking or fingerstyle.
The body size is an OM or 000 size similar to a Taylor grand concert. The lower bout is 15.25" across making it a medium size guitar that's comfortable to hold. The body depth is about 4.125".
The top is Sitka spruce
with a little bearclaw figure in it. Sitka spruce typically works
well for flatpicking
although I have a rather light fingerstyle technique and I find
it suits that style fine. The back and sides are
Indian rosewood with a rich red brown color. The fingerboard
and bridge are rosewood with a bone nut
and saddle.
